Sampler
Owners Rating:
Designed with Dane Reynolds, the Sampler is a high-performance step-down board for smaller, weaker waves, filling the gap between a groveler and a shortboard. The board features a low/moderate entry rocker, leading into a moderate exit rocker for tight transitions and aerial maneuvers. Its outline is full but sleek in the front half, with an exaggerated Merrick hip and a wide, old-school squash tail. The single concave runs throughout, transitioning to a slight double within the single between the fins, and a subtle vee off the tail, enhancing speed, drive, and maneuverability. Ideal for all surfers, ride the Sampler 2-4 inches shorter and slightly wider than your normal shortboard for optimal performance.
