Owners Rating:
The Original Puddle Jumper '25 is a digitally re-mastered version of the groveler that made the model famous, built on the Bottom Feeder outline with the bottom and rocker curves reversed. A single to double concave to vee in the tail, adds lift and rail curve so the board can be surfed top to bottom despite its width. The wide outline and straight rail line make wave catching effortless and keep it driving forward through dead sections. Volumes run generous, from 27.25L to 51.5L, and it is aimed at anyone wanting the most out of knee to chest high surf.

Under Your Feet

The flat rocker and width make paddling feel like a cheat code, and once you're up the thing simply refuses to stop. It's stable to the point of being hard to mess up, and the vee in the tail means it still comes around when you lean on it. Not a subtle board, and not trying to be.

When it's pumping

  • In anything with real push the width becomes obvious, it will go, it just won't turn into a steep pocket.
  • Fine for a fun overhead wave, but you'd rather be on something else and you'll know it.

When it's fair

  • This is the board's entire reason for existing, and it's very good at it.
  • Knee to hip high nothing, and you're still making sections other people are paddling around.
  • The single to double to vee lets you actually turn instead of just going straight, which is the difference between a groveler and a plank.
