The Rad Zapper is a Matt Biolos and Cheyne Horan collaboration, built by folding Horan's Lazor Zap design ideas into Lost's 1980s-influenced Rad Ripper. The wide point sits well back with a dramatically widened tail and a pulled-in beak nose, and Horan's signature double-bump soft swallow butt tail keeps that width controllable. The deep double concave through the tail starts soft near the stringer then hooks near the rail, rocketing water out the back for speed and bite. Lowered entry rocker and a flat deck with thinned, volume-reducing rails make it a small wave speed machine for surfers who want to stand on the tail and turn without running out of drive.
